St. Thomas Track & Field Achieve Record-Breaking Success at Drake and Penn Relays
ST. PAUL, Minn. — A pair of relay teams broke program records for St. Thomas track & field at the Drake Relays and Penn Relays April 26-27. The men’s distance medley relay of Cameron Heppner, Mitchell Piehl, Thomas Dundon and Max Westerlund set the program record in the event with a time of 9:49.40, taking ninth at the Penn Relays. The previous record of 9:52.74 was set in 1985 at the Drake Relays, which included men’s head coach Pete Wareham as part of the relay.
