Track & Field Excels at the Prestigious Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA (April 27, 2024) – Howard University men's and women's track & field program competed at the prestigious Penn Relays (April 25-27), hosted by Penn inside Franklin Field. Several Bison excelled during the three-day festival, led by junior Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) winning Friday's (April 26) College Men's Long Jump College. The Virginia native leaped 7.33 meters (24'0.75). On the women's side, second-year Bison Ija Mumford (Winston-Salem, N.C.) earned third overall in the long jump, hopping nearly 20 feet (6.00 meters).
