Women’s Track & Field: Hobby Leads Scots to Fourth-Place Finish at Rider/Bolstorff Invitational
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women’s track and field hosted the Rider/Bolstorff Invitational today. The Scots finished fourth with 57 points, while Saint Benedict won the meet with 160 points. Senior Sarah Beth Hobby (South Pittsburg, Tenn./St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School) led the Scots winning the javelin throw with a personal record mark of 39.08m (128′ 2). This is the second-best mark in Macalester history. First years Brooke Boroughs (Monroe, Wash./Monroe) and Tessa Myatt (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) came in third (34.01m (111′ 7)) and eighth (29.80m (97′ 9)) respectively.
