WPI Takes Opening Game Against Baseball

Springfield, Mass. – April 27, 2024 – The Springfield College baseball team was bested by WPI, 13-2, in the opening game of its New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. Game One- WPI 13, Baseball 2 Andrew Sweet (Charlton, Mass.) produced three of the Pride’s nine hits in the setback. After the Engineers totaled two runs in the first inning, Springfield bounced back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to even things up.
