Zygowski Sets WIAC Single-Season Saves Record in Sweep of UWRF

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. – Sophomore pitcher Ashley Zygowski (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) set the WIAC single season record for saves as the No. 20 UW-Stevens Point softball (28-4, 8-2) swept UW-River Falls (10-18, 0-10). She notched the record-setting save in a 4-0 win in game one. Zygowski earned the win in game two as UWSP finished the sweep, 5-2. Zygowski increased her UWSP single-season record by recording her 12th save of the season. The save breaks the WIAC record that stood at 11 since the 2016 season.
