Lady Panthers sweep Hallsville; area round series set with Lovejoy

BULLARD — Addley Dean hit a solo homer in the fifth and doubled and scored in the first inning to account for both runs in Lufkin’s 2-1 series-clinching win over Hallsville here Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers (21-11), who won Game 1 1-0 on Thursday, took a series sweep of Hallsville in the bi-district round and will face Lucas Lovejoy, who defeated Corsicana 7-0, 7-0 to win their series in two games.
