Mercer Falls To High Point In First Game Of Doubleheader

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The Mercer Bears (22-19, 4-7 SoCon) fell to the High Point Panthers (24-20, 11-4 Big South) by final score of 7-1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday. Sophomore Jess Ackerman started and took the loss on the mound for Mercer. Graham Yntema finished out the game on the mound and recorded three strikeouts. Both pitchers worked for four innings.
