No. 42 Averett women’s tennis earns No. 2 seed in ODAC Tournament, will host quarterfinal match Wednesday

DANVILLE, Va. — No. 42 Averett University women’s tennis earned the No. 2 seed in this week’s Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament. The Cougars will host No. 7 seed Virginia Wesleyan University on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Averett (13-5, 9-1 ODAC), which moved up in the ITA national rankings, finished second in the regular season standings to No. 20 Washington and Lee University, the top seed in the tournament. The Cougars will host their quarterfinal matchup with Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday at the Averett Tennis Courts. With a win, Averett would advance to the semifinals on Saturday at 4 p.m.…
