One Stroke Separates Men’s Golf from OAC Glory, as Otterbein Holds off JCU on Day 3
WEST LAFAYETTE – One stroke. Needing a 3-stroke comeback entering the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship, John Carroll Men’s Golf showcased a strong effort. But by a mere one stroke, Otterbein held off John Carroll for a second straight OAC crown, as Otterbein’s OAC medalist Ian Johnston (-4) finished the day with a par to foil JCU’s hopes of winning a second OAC crown in three years. For the 3-day marathon, John Carroll finished 290-299-287-296-1172, heartachingly close to Otterbein’s 294-290-289-298-1171.
