Rowing wins 11th consecutive President’s Cup over rivals Bowdoin and Colby

GREENE, Maine — The Bates rowing team turned in a dominating performance and the Bobcats won their 11th consecutive President’s Cup Regatta Sunday morning on the Androscoggin River. Bates won eight of the 10 races held Sunday against rivals Colby and Bowdoin, with the University of Maine also competing in one of the events. The Bobcats combined to score 27 points, while Bowdoin and Colby tallied 13 points apiece. The morning of racing began at 9 am with the women’s novice four.
