SOFTBALL FALLS ONE WIN SHY OF PLAYOFFS IN SENIOR DAY REGULAR SEASON FINALE

Staten Island, NY – The College of Staten Island Softball Team fell one win short of a berth in the ECC playoffs today as they split their doubleheader against Mercy University. In game one, the Dolphins scored the first five runs of the game in the first two innings and cruised to a 5-1 victory. In game two, the Mavericks scored the only four runs of the game as Alexi Benson tossed a complete game shutout to send Mercy to the playoffs.
