West Virginia State Baseball Dominates D&E, Secures Playoff Spot with Weekend Sweep
INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State baseball (27-15, 19-7 MEC) defeated Davis & Elkins (0-46, 0-26 MEC) twice on Sunday at Cal Bailey Field to sweep the weekend series. The Yellow Jackets won the first game of the doubleheader, 11-3, before they piled on the runs to win the second game, 22-9. WVSU clinched a postseason berth in the MEC Tournament with the sweep of the Senators. Meanwhile, Concord was eliminated from postseason contention after being swept by Charleston in a four-game series.
