Herons compete in Liberty League Championship Tournament

GUILDERLAND, N.Y.— The William Smith golf team completed its season over the weekend. The Herons competed in the two-day, 36-hole Liberty League Championship Tournament at Pine Haven Country Club. Three golfers represented William Smith. Sophomore Caroline Gannon led the trio, finishing 21st in the 31-golfer field. She posted the team’s lowest round on Saturday and Sunday. In the opening round, she shot a 94, including a birdie on No. 10, and was in 22nd place. She made a five-stroke improvement on Sunday to move up one spot in the standings.
