WEEKEND HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Floyd Central goes 2-0 in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — Class 4A No. 7 Floyd Central picked up a pair of wins in a split doubleheader in Bloomington on Saturday. The Highlanders hammered Bloomington North 12-5 in their first game before beating Bloomington South 15-4 in their second. Against the Cougars, seniors Carsyn Hildreth and Peyton Drummond led Floyd’s balanced 13-hit attack. Hildreth went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs while touching home once. Drummond was 2-for-2 with an RBI while scoring three runs. Additionally, sophomore Addy Ware added a pair of RBIs while scoring twice.
