Bergeron Picked as MCBSA Pitcher of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Maine College Baseball & Softball Association (MCBSA) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph’s College grad Matthew Bergeron (Salem, N.H.) has been selected as the MCBSA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Bergeron won both of his starts last week and posted a 1.72 ERA with 14 strikeouts – versus just two walks – over 15.2 innings. He hurled 6.2 one-run innings with six strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over Lasell on Tuesday and tossed a complete-game with eight strikeouts in a 7-2 triumph at Norwich on Sunday.
