Captain Shreve seeks boys basketball coach after parting with Corey Deans

Captain Shreve boys basketball coach Corey Deans, who coached the Gators to the 2023-24 District 1-5A title, is no longer running the school’s successful program. “I got fired,” Deans told The Times. “(Principal Bryant) Sepulvado said they were going in a different direction.” Hired in 2019 by former principal Ginger Gustavson, Deans had previously coached at Green Oaks before making the move to Gatorland.
