PLAINVILLE — In a local baseball battle to start the week, it was the Plainville Blue Devils who outlasted the New Britain Golden Hurricanes in a 2-0 victory at Plainville High School. With the win, the Blue Devils improved to 6-5 on the season, two games away from clinching a playoff berth. With the loss, New Britain dropped to 4-8 on the season.
