PREP ROUNDUP: Pocatello baseball downs Marsh Valley in battle of reigning state champions
It’s not often that two reigning state champions go head-to-head. But that was exactly the case Monday night at Halliwell Park. Reigning Class 4A state champion Pocatello got bragging rights with a 6-1 win over defending Class 3A state champion Marsh Valley. Martin Serrano chalked up three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs for the Thunder (14-10 overall, 5-1 4A South East Idaho Conference) in the win.
