GCU dominates WAC with track and field honors throughout the season

The Grand Canyon track and field team finishes the regular season with honors each week of the outdoor season. Lopes graduate student Joanna Archer is the WAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week after running the conference’s fastest times in the 800-meter dash (2 minutes, 4.15 seconds) at last weekend’s Desert Heat Classic in Tucson. The Texas Tech transfer’s 800 mark is the fastest in the conference and 9th in the West Region.
