Perona’s week continues to wow, named NCBWA Honorable Mention Hitter of the Week

CHICAGO, Ill. — Adding his third weekly honor since this past Monday, sophomore outfielder Joe Perona was named the Honorable Mention Division III Hitter of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday afternoon. Perona is the first player within the CCIW, Pitcher or Hitter, to claim recognition from the NCBWA this season. Perona’s week included 12 hits (seven for extra bases) five stolen bases, and he was responsible for creating 24 runs in four games – nine by him scoring and 15 via RBI.
