Spartans Sweep MEAC Weekly Men’s Track Honors

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk State men's track and field team has swept Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) weekly honors, the conference office announced on Wednesday evening. Gidion Sigei was named MEAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while Isaac Haywood earned MEAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors after a pair of spectacular showings at the 2024 Penn Relays. Sigei broke his own school record – and MEAC record – in the 10,000 meters for the second time this season, finishing the race in 29 minutes, 21.91 seconds.
