The St. Louis Blues sign two players from the Swedish Hockey League

On Tuesday, the St. Louis Blues announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, the signing of Swedish defenseman Samuel Johannesson and forward Marcus Sylvegard. Both skaters played the 2023-2024 season in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Johannesson, who is 23 years old, scored 11 goals and 16 assists for Orebro HK during the 2023-2024 season. Considered the leader of the defense, Johannesson finished with 27 total points. Johannesson spent the prior season with the Brynas IF, earning 32 points, 8 goals, and 24 assists.
