WBB: Kennedy Announces Additions To 2024-25 Roster

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese head women's basketball coach Lynn Kennedy has announced the addition of former Iota High standout Avery Young and Arkansas State transfer Kiayra Ellis to his 2024-25 roster. Young, a 5-9 guard is returning home following two seasons of junior college. She began her collegiate career at Panola College where she averaged 12.2 ppg., 4.8 rpg., and 2.6 apg. Last season she helped Pearl River Community College to the NJCAA National Tournament. She averaged 10.5 ppg., dished out a team high 3.7 apg. and ranked 33rd in the nation in assist-turnover ratio.
