Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Illinois Wesleyan; Advances to CCIW Championship Game

#2 Carthage 16, #3 Illinois Wesleyan 11 KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage women’s lacrosse team hosted the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in the opening round of the CCIW Women’s Lacrosse Tournament at Art Keller Field on Wednesday evening. It was a tight battle through three quarters, but a dominant fourth quarter would lift the Firebirds to victory over the Titans and advance Carthage into the CCIW Championship game. The night was also highlighted by a pair of school records, as August Claridge broke the single season record for goals scored and Alessandra Almendarez broke the Carthage record for career games played.…
