Honeycutt signs free agent deal with Cleveland Browns
CLEVELAND, Ohio. – Mars Hill linebacker Landon Honeycutt has signed an undrafted free agent deal for the Cleveland Browns’ rookie mini-camp. Honeycutt, a native of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, started in 45 games over five seasons for the Lions, totalling 370 tackles (150 solo), 44.5 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two interceptions. Honeycutt was a three-time D2CCA All-Southeast Region First Team selection and three-time All-South Atlantic Conference First Team selection, being named the SAC Mountain Division Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. In his final season, he was named an AFCA Second Team All-American.
