Wolverines show claws at Showdown

SHEBOYGAN — Waukesha West softball found themselves victorious more often than not, going 3-1 in the Shoreline Showdown Tournament over the weekend in Sheboygan. West defeated Port Washington 166, Manitowoc Lincoln 13-3, and Wauwatosa East 9-1. Their only defeat came at the hands of Fond du Lac, falling 7-2. Peyton Arendt led the pitching for the Wolverines, striking out 17 and posting and impressive 1.615 ERA. Kaiya Kraner had 11 hits over the weekend including three doubles and four RBIs.
