Former Wawasee star set to address students, community on Tuesday

SYRACUSE — A former girls basketball star is making her return to Wawasee High School Tuesday. Shanna Zolman Mahaley, the second-highest scorer in IHSAA girls basketball history and former Tennessee Lady Volunteer/WNBA player, will be speaking at her former high school this Tuesday as part of an event set up by Chautauqua-Wawasee. Zolman Mahaley, a 2002 graduate of Wawasee, has spoken to the community before, but not to the high school since continuing her basketball career.
