Men’s Soccer: Obara Signs with Charlotte Independence
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former James Madison midfielder Clay Obara has signed his first professional contract, inking a deal with the Charlotte Independence of the USL League One earlier this week. In his final season during 2023, the Virginia Beach, Va. native started in all 20 matches and scored six goals while assisting on four more for a total of 16 points and putting 24 of his 34 shots on goal.
