PREP ROUNDUP: Highland softball team’s struggles continue in doubleheader loss to Thunder Ridge
Friday’s doubleheader against Thunder Ridge is one the Highland softball team would like to forget. The Rams combined for just five total hits between the two games in a 8-0 and 13-4 losses at Capell Park. They’ve now dropped 10 of their last 11 games and fall to 4-20 overall and 2-10 in 5A District V-VI Conference play. Highland was no-hit in the opener. The only highlights there were McKenna Sutton’s five strikeouts in the circle. Emerson Gifford had two hits in the nightcap, while Janae Whitehead drove in a pair of runs.
