The Guelph Storm has signed 2023 eighth-round selection Sam Johnston to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The 6'4", 185 lbs forward from Waterdown, Ontario, was chosen 154th overall in last year’s OHL Priority Selection. Johnston, known as a power forward, impressed the Storm's General Manager George Burnett during the spring camp, following a successful year with the Burlington U18 program. He produced over a point per game in his OHL draft year and notched 27 goals and 16 assists for 43 points in 32 games the past season with the Burlington Eagles U18 AAA program.
