Shantz Sets Single Season Home Run Record in Friday’s Split at Springfield
SPRINGFIELD – The Smith College softball team split Friday’s twinbill on the road to Springfield Friday afternoon against the NEWMACs No. 1 team. The Pioneers opened the doubleheader with a 7-3 win followed by a 4-1 loss. Juno Shantz (Seattle, Wash./Garfield) set the single season home run record after hitting her 10th of the year.
