Devaney Wins Men’s 10K to Highlight Day One of Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships
FAIRFAX, Va. – The Loyola University Chicago track and field team had a successful opening day at the Atlantic 10 Championships at George Mason Stadium. Chris Devaney was crowned champion in the 10,000m event with a time of 29:44.11, giving the Ramblers momentum heading into the championship's final day tomorrow. Devaney's time was nearly four seconds faster than the second-place finisher, Robert Carew of Massachusetts. Devaney's personal record in the 10K, a blistering 28:40.40 which he set in 2023, is the fastest time in program history.
