Fadden, Clawson set new school records at Monmouth Invitational

Records MONMOUTH, Ill. – Grinnell College’s men’s track and field team tuned up for next weekend’s Midwest Conference Championships in perfect fashion Saturday, setting two school records and winning multiple events at the Monmouth Invitational. School records came from star sprinter Lucas Fadden ’26 in the 100-meter dash, breaking a 43-year-old standard in the process, and stellar thrower Ian Clawson ’26 in the hammer throw. Fadden won the 100-meter dash in a blazing 10.49 seconds, beating the previous Grinnell mark of 10.59 set by Mike McCrary in 1981. That time ranks 15th nationally.
