Islanders coach Patrick Roy and GM Lou Lamoriello met the media as the team broke for the summer after their playoff loss to Carolina. Lamoriello was encouraged by the team's performance when Roy took over behind the bench but knows there is much work to be done. He praised his coach for navigating a very difficult mid-season transition and Roy in turn appreciated Lamoriello for giving him the opportunity to be an NHL coach again.
