Local high school rowers win 7 divisions at City Championships

Local high school crew teams made a big showing with seven titles at the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association City Championships on Sunday on the Schuylkill River. The Egg Harbor Township girls team scored two wins, led by its lightweight four that beat Montclair High School by 0.37 seconds in the final. The Eagles also got a four-second victory from their novice eight. EHT coach Dan Welsh said it was the first time the program won two golds at the City Championships.
