LOCAL ROUNDUP: Eagles baseball upsets Salpointe Catholic
The Flagstaff Eagles baseball team kept its season going with an upset, 3-1, win at Salpointe Catholic on Saturday in Tucson in the quarterfinals of the 4A Conference state tournament. The fifth-seeded Eagles, who fell 13-1 to the same No. 4 Lancers on April 29, got a gem from junior pitcher Connor Iniguez on Saturday. Iniguez gave up just four hits and two walks, while striking out four batters in a full seven innings.
