BANKS EARNS NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR; EIGHT PANTHERS EARN ALL-SAA

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Association announced the All-SAA baseball teams at the conclusion of the conference season this past weekend. Freshman Charlie Banks was named Newcomer of the Year as eight Panthers were named to All-SAA teams. Charlie Banks was selected as the SAA Newcomer of the Year and a Second Team All-SAA recipient after his excellent freshman campaign. The right fielder appeared in 28 games with 19 starts and led the SAA in OPS with a 1.188 while also finishing the season with .392 batting average for fifth in the SAA.
