High School Playoffs: Oceanside, Beckham, Stratford earn Lower State soccer titles

MOUNT PLEASANT — Oceanside Collegiate’s Ellisyn Poland headed in a corner kick from Hannah Denton with 1:42 remaining in sudden-death overtime to lift the Landsharks to a 1-0 win over Bishop England in the Class AA Lower State championship for girls soccer. The goal was a sudden end to a game Tuesday night that was scoreless through 80 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtimes.
