Summerville senior PJ Morlando is the seventh annual Best of Prep Sports Baseball Player of the Year. “PJ is the heart and soul of our offense,” Summerville coach Thane Maness said. “He has great power at the plate and teams are scared to pitch to him so he is always on base. He leads the team in runs scored, walks, batting average and doubles and that is with him being pitched around.” Through the first 24 games of the season, Morlando had a .436 batting average with a .655 on-base percentage and a .655 slugging percentage.
