Charlie Alcayaga pitched five innings of five-hit ball as the Vintage High baseball team downed American Canyon 7-2 in the semifinals of the four-team Vine Valley Athletic League Tournament at Arnold Field in Sonoma on Tuesday night. The Crushers (15-10), who earned the No. 1 seed by securing the VVAL title outright with a 4-1 win at Casa Grande last Thursday, will face the third-seeded Gauchos (18-7) again at 7 p.m. Friday at Arnold Field for the tourney title.
