Xavier Venious Named Second-Team All-SCAC

Xavier Venious finished as runner-up at last month’s SCAC Championships in the 400-meter hurdles to earn all-conference honors. Shreveport – Senior Xavier Venious (Bossier City, La.) was named Second-Team All-SCAC following his runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2024 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Trinity University Track & Field Stadium in San Antonio on April 27-28. Venious’ time of 55.64 was second to only Trinity’s Justin Johnson (53.51). Venious placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in the 2023 championships, running a time of 55.00.
