Top 10 NASCAR throwback paint schemes for 2024 Darlington race

William Byron, No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet

It’s hard to argue against Hendrick Motorsports providing some of the top throwback paint schemes of the weekend and the No. 24 will look quite familiar to race fans on Sunday. Byron’s car will be a throwback to Jeff Gordon’s 2009 paint scheme containing flames on the front hood and side of the black No. 24 car, with the only difference being Axalta sponsoring Byron’s car rather than the classic DuPont sponsor Gordon featured for many years. Byron has looked like Gordon on the track more often than not this year as he has won three races across the first three months of the season, including his first career Daytona 500 victory.
