Top 10 NASCAR throwback paint schemes for 2024 Darlington race
Daniel Suarez, No. 99 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet
Suarez has been racing in the Cup Series since 2017, but before that, he became the first foreign-born driver to win a NASCAR championship with his Xfinity Series title in 2016. In 2022, he became the first Mexican-born driver to win a Cup Series race. He went on to earn his second Cup Series victory earlier this season in a photo finish at Atlanta and Suarez will look for career win No. 3 at Darlington on Sunday as he drives a red-and-green painted No. 99 car sponsored by Quaker State. The scheme will honor another Mexican driver, Adrian Fernandez, who drove a similar-looking No. 5 car in the IndyCar Series in the early 2000s.
