#26 UMW Women’s Tennis Tops SUNY New Paltz, 5-0, in NCAA Tourney 1st Round

The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated SUNY New Paltz, 5-0, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday afternoon in Middletown, Conn. The Eagles advance to Saturday's second round against the University of Redlands. On Friday, the Eagles moved swiftly in gaining the lead in doubles. At two doubles, Emily Beckner and Addison Felts gained an 8-1 win over Onalee Batcheller and Isabel Van Der Veen.
