Monday was the opening day of spring practice for many OSSAA teams. Bixby, who have won state titles in each of the past six years and nine of the last 10, only have five returnees from the 22 who started on offense and defense in last year’s Class 6AI state final against Jenks. The Spartans has virtually no varsity experience returning at running back. Among the candidates there include Kade Arthur, Bode Cairl, Jack Gill and Dax Sullivan.
