10 players who increased their stock at 2024 NBA Draft Combine
Jamal Shead
Shead was the heart and soul of the Houston Cougars over the last few years and that was evident as the team faltered in the NCAA Tournament after the 6-foot-1 guard left with an ankle injury. Shead’s potential as a glue guy and valuable role player has had him projected to be taken late in the second round, but he could be moving up a few spots after his performance in Chicago. Shead may be undersized for an NBA guard while health questions also remained coming into the week, but he quickly put those to rest as he scored 14 points to go along with four assists in his first scrimmage, while adding 13 points in game two. Shead is a strong defender and if his shooting and scoring ability improve, he could be a valuable NBA asset.
Just cleared from a knee injury, Houston's Jamal Shead brought his trademark high-level intensity at the NBA draft combine; harassing opponents, generating turnovers and moving the ball unselfishly, finishing with 14 points, 4 assists in 26 minutes. pic.twitter.com/9GenAQkPnn
