Carter was an elite two-way player during his 19-year career. The Culver City native earned 11 All-Star appearances, five Silver Sluggers, three Gold Gloves and a World Series title. Carter finished his career with 2,092 hits, 1,225 RBIs and 324 homers to earn a spot in the National Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2003.
