During the past four years of High School soccer that I have had the privilege to get to know Nasch, I have seen him grown into an outstanding athlete, disciplined student, and person of great character who is confident and thrives for excellence.

Since Nash Palmer joined Box Elder Boys Soccer he has been an integral player of our team. He is a very disciplined individual, with great work ethic, exceptional skills, and most importantly, has become a great team player. This is evident with him being selected as a team captain this year by his peers. I have always seen him working hard, encouraging others, and striving for excellence both on and off the field. What are your personal goals within your sport/athletic dreams?
Nasch Palmer: As a kid, I always wanted to be in the sports world. Now that I’m soon to be a college athlete, it could come true.
What is your biggest challenge in your sport, and what do you do to manage this challenge?
Palmer: My biggest challenge would have to be dealing with teammates and having patience. For me, it’s one of
those things such as like everyone’s not perfect.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
Palmer: The best advice I’ve received has been to keep going. This is especially true when training, as long as you consistently put in the work you will succeed.

What do you love about your sport?
Palmer: I love the creativity of soccer. Every game is different and I can come up with new and unique plays.
Do you have a pregame ritual you follow?
Palmer: Normally I try not to take it too seriously. I believe you play your best when you are enjoying it.
What do you like to do outside of your sport?
Palmer: Hang out with my buddies. They are always there to spice life up a bit.
What has being a member of a team taught you?
Palmer: To be mindful of others. I think one thing that people underestimate in sports is how much your words and actions can help others or bring them down.

What is the best piece of advice you received from a coach or mentor?
Palmer: One of my coaches once yelled at me to get back and play defense. For me, defense is a bit of a hassle so it’s nice sometimes as a reminder to be better.
Describe a mistake you made while competing and how you overcame it.
Palmer: All sports are mentally taxing. Being the best soccer player I can be comes with a lot of hard challenges. For me trying to get out of my head has been a big challenge, but with good teammates and mentors you can overcome that challenge too.
Anything else you’d like to add?
Palmer: I’ll be playing soccer this fall 2024 for Utah State University Eastern.
