Wake Forest didn’t quite have the same special season this spring that it did in 2023, but the Demon Deacons were still solid throughout the year and featured a pair of likely top-10 MLB draft picks between pitcher Chase Burns and first baseman Nick Kurtz. The loss of Kurtz will be a big blow to Wake Forest’s lineup as he led the team in several offensive categories including home runs, slugging and on-base percentage. While it could be hard for Kash to live up to the lofty numbers put up by Kurtz, he would be a viable addition to help mask Kurtz’s loss while potentially boosting his 2025 draft stock in a similar fashion.
