Jeremiah Smith’s OSU football path fuels brother in C/O 2027
COLUMBUS, Ohio (BVM) – Ohio State Buckeyes rising freshman star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has a younger brother, Angelo Smith – a high school prospect in the Class of 2027 who feels he can someday outperform his older sibling on the football field.
Jeremiah was not only the No.1 recruit in the Class of 2024, but he also landed among the top-10 highest-rated football recruits of all time. He remains the center of the hype surrounding Buckeyes football entering the 2024 season.
Jeremiah’s younger brother, Angelo, aims to be a generational recruit himself.
“I feel like [I’ll] be a better player than him (Jeremiah) – I know that,” Angelo told Eleven Warriors. “I feel like I play both sides of the ball. I’m a game changer.”
Angelo is a 5-foot-9 wide receiver and safety at Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Florida. He was named MVP of the JV team as a freshman in 2023 and remains unranked by 247 Sports. His D-I offers include Miami and Toledo.
Angelo hasn’t received an offer from Ohio State yet, but he stated it would “be great” if he could follow in his brother’s footsteps in Columbus.
“[It would mean] a lot,” Angelo said when asked by Eleven Warriors about what an offer from Ohio State would mean to him. “It would just be a legacy. And hopefully, if I have kids, they come here as well. It would be great.”
Angelo has already gotten the opportunity to catch a pass from Jeremiah on the Ohio State gridiron. Angelo was among the campers at OSU on Tuesday, and the two brothers spent time throwing passes after camp ended (shown below).

Angelo is nonetheless inspired by Jeremiah’s success. He wants to be better – but also separate – telling Eleven Warriors that he wants to “just do things Jeremiah hasn’t done yet.”

Angelo will be a sophomore heading into the 2024 high school football season.
“[My] goal next season – I want to be a playmaker on the field,” Angelo told Eleven Warriors. “Both sides if I have to. I just want to be a playmaker and be able to change the game.”
